Vinson & Elkins Reps Energy Transfer In $300M Deal

Law360, New York (May 11, 2010, 6:46 PM EDT) -- Energy Transfer Equity LP announced Tuesday it would pay $300 million to buy a stake in Regency Energy Partners LP from General Electric, making ETE the general partner of both Regency and Energy Transfer Partners LP.

ETE will receive a 100 percent interest in Regency's general partner from GE Energy Financial Services in exchange for $300 million worth of ETE preferred units, the Dallas-based companies announced.
