Hershey Sues Williams-Sonoma Over Candy Bar Mark

Law360, New York (May 12, 2010, 1:35 PM EDT) -- The Hershey Co. has slapped Williams-Sonoma Inc. with a trademark lawsuit, saying a product sold by the gourmet cookware company infringes a design mark used for decades on Hershey's flagship chocolate bars.

Pennsylvania-based Hershey and its affiliate Hershey Chocolate filed suit Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, claiming that Williams-Sonoma's “chocolate bar brownie pan” product embodies the chocolate bar design mark without Hershey's authorization.
