Professionals Bag $37M In Reader's Digest Ch. 11

Law360, New York (May 11, 2010, 7:38 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has approved about $37 million in fees and expenses for the professionals who worked on the Reader's Digest Association Inc. bankruptcy, including $8.8 million for debtor's counsel Kirkland & Ellis LLP and $10.9 million for restructuring adviser AlixPartners LLP.

Other firms to cash in were KPMG LLP, accounting adviser and tax consultant to the debtor, which will collect $1.6 million; Otterbourg Steindler Houston & Rosen PC, counsel to the official committee of unsecured creditors, which will take home $1.6 million; BDO Seidman LLP,...
