Palm Resolves IP, Antitrust Suit Over MP3 Technology

Law360, New York (May 12, 2010, 1:17 PM EDT) -- Palm Inc. and a group of companies that own patents for MP3 technology, including U.S. Philips Corp. and France Telecom SA, have resolved an infringement and antitrust dispute over patents related to the MP3 standard.

Judge Anthony J. Trenga of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia on Tuesday approved an agreement among the parties to drop all claims and counterclaims in the suit without prejudice.
