US Asks CIT To Pare Down Estee Lauder Kit Duty Spat

Law360, New York (May 13, 2010, 5:49 PM EDT) -- The U.S. government is seeking to convince the U.S. Court of International Trade to dismiss claims regarding two of three cosmetic kit models from a tariff spat brought by cosmetics giant Estee Lauder Inc.

In a filing Wednesday, the government argued that the CIT lacked jurisdiction to decide on the claims because the company had failed to protest the two models specifically.
