Judge Bans 'Odor Eliminating' Ads For Hunting Clothes

Law360, New York (May 14, 2010, 3:58 PM EDT) -- In a false advertising suit over carbon-embedded hunting clothes, a federal judge has enjoined several manufacturers from marketing their products as "odor eliminating" and deemed those ads "literally false" because the apparel doesn't banish human stench.

Judge Richard H. Kyle of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota granted partial summary judgment Thursday to the consumer plaintiffs on the falsity issue in the "odor eliminating" ads and issued an injunction with regard to those ads.
