Microsoft To Pay $200M To End VirnetX Patent Suits

Law360, New York (May 17, 2010, 11:38 AM EDT) -- Microsoft Corp. agreed Monday to pay $200 million to license two network communications patents from VirnetX Holding Corp., bringing an end to more than three years of litigation over the software giant's operating systems.

The companies did not disclose any other details regarding the settlement and licensing agreement, which resolves two separate suits in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
