Synchrome Sues Microsoft, NEC Over Drive Patents

Law360, New York (May 18, 2010, 4:07 PM EDT) -- Patent-holding company Synchrome Technology Inc. has launched an infringement suit against Microsoft Corp. and NEC Corp. of America over two disk drive patents, targeting Microsoft's Xbox video game console and an NEC DVD writer.

The defendants have willfully infringed the two patents by selling optical drives that use Synchrome's technology, according to a complaint filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada.
