US Foundries Challenge Dumping Exemptions For China

Law360, New York (May 18, 2010, 1:12 PM EDT) -- The Municipal Castings Fair Trade Council, a coalition of three domestic producers of iron construction castings, is contesting a U.S. Department of Commerce ruling that certain flappers, grates and frames from China are not within the scope of an anti-dumping order.

Coalition members East Jordan Iron Works Inc., Neenah Foundry Co. and U.S. Foundry & Manufacturing Co. commenced a civil action on May 12 in the U.S. Court of International Trade, though documents in the case were not made publicly available until Tuesday.
