Jury Slaps Cisco With $3.7M Verdict In Wireless IP Suit

Law360, New York (May 18, 2010, 4:34 PM EDT) -- A federal jury has handed down a $3.7 million verdict against Cisco Systems Inc., finding that the computer networking giant infringed a patent for wireless network technology held by Commil USA LLC.

The jury in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas found Monday that Cisco violated U.S. Patent Number 6,430,395, titled “Wireless private branch exchange (WPBX) and communicating between mobile units and base stations.”
