$1.2M Settlement In Shoe Mania OT Suit Approved

Law360, New York (May 18, 2010, 6:11 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has preliminarily approved a $1.15 million settlement between New York-based Shoe Mania Inc. and employees who accused the retail chain of failing to pay them overtime wages.

Judge Laura Taylor Swain of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York signed off on the settlement Monday, bringing the parties a step closer to shutting the door on the consolidated overtime class action.
