FERC, PG&E Could Face Suit Over Declining Salmon

Law360, New York (May 20, 2010, 4:35 PM EDT) -- Conservation and fishing groups have threatened to sue the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and Pacific Gas & Electric Co. over a hydroelectric project in California that they claim harms the salmon population.

Earthjustice said Monday that it planned to file suit on behalf of the California Sportfishing Protection Alliance and several other groups to protect the Central Valley spring-run Chinook salmon that spawn in Butte Creek near Chico, Calif.
