Exxon Wins Attys' Fees In Gasprom Contract Spat

Law360, New York (May 19, 2010, 2:20 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has awarded Exxon Mobil Corp. nearly $298,000 in attorneys’ fees following the oil giant's win in a breach of contract suit against franchisee Gasprom Inc., but refused to order the defendant to pay expenses.

Judge Philip S. Gutierrez of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California on Tuesday shot down Exxon’s bid for more than $9,000 in expenses, finding that the company failed to show that photocopying costs were necessary for the case and that other out-of-pocket expenses were recoverable....
