Toyota Recalls Lexus Sedans Over Steering Issues

Law360, New York (May 19, 2010, 4:28 PM EDT) -- In yet another round of recall woes for the beleaguered automaker, Toyota Motor Corp. announced Wednesday that it was pulling thousands of Lexus LS series vehicles from the market due to steering problems.

Certain 2010 Lexus LS sedans equipped with an optional variable gear ratio steering system may exhibit a temporary steering wheel off-center condition under a specific driving maneuver, Toyota said. A U.S. recall will begin Friday, it said.
