Senate Democrats Call For Clean Energy Boost

Law360, New York (January 23, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Senate Energy Committee Democrats have unveiled a five-point roadmap of policy issues they plan to tackle to boost the country’s efficiency and reliance on clean energy, which includes cutting 40% of the country’s petroleum imports in the next 13 years.

The so-called energy policy priorities focus on achieving five targets: economy-wide efficiency and renewable energy solutions, greater biofuels diversity, tax fairness for emerging energy technologies, reducing the potential for global warming and enhancing research, development and the future workforce.
