Visteon Equity Holders Lose Bid To Appoint Examiner

Law360, New York (May 20, 2010, 12:49 PM EDT) -- A bankruptcy judge has denied a bid by Visteon Corp.'s equity security holders to appoint an examiner to look at whether Visteon could devise a plan that would provide some return for them.

Judge Christopher S. Sontchi of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware on Wednesday denied an ad hoc committee of equity holders' motion to appoint an examiner. The motion had also been supported by U.S. Trustee Roberta DeAngelis.
