Air France Ocean Crash MDL Gets 10 Times Bigger

Law360, New York (May 21, 2010, 2:55 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation has consolidated 28 additional suits filed against Airbus SAS and several of its suppliers over the deadly Air France Flight 447 crash, as a battle heats up over whether any U.S. court is suited to handle the claims.

In an order Thursday, the JPML transferred the cases, lodged in Florida by family members of some of the 228 passengers killed on board, to multidistrict litigation pending in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
