Ralph Lauren To Pay $4M To Settle Calif. Wage Suit

Law360, New York (May 21, 2010, 6:00 PM EDT) -- A federal judge gave preliminary approval Friday to a $4 million settlement between Polo Ralph Lauren Corp. and a class of sales associates and cashiers who alleged the company failed to pay for off-the-clock time spent inside its stores, in violation of California's labor law.

Judge Susan Illston of the U.S. District Court for the District of Northern California said the plaintiffs could start notifying over 3,000 potential class members in the suit.
