Excess Insurers Seek To Escape BP Pollution Liabilites

Law360, New York (May 24, 2010, 7:39 PM EDT) -- Certain underwriters of Lloyd's of London and a slew of insurers that issued excess liability insurance policies to Transocean Ltd. have asked a district court to declare that they have no obligation to cover BP PLC from pollution claims arising out of the massive Gulf of Mexico oil spill.
