Genzyme Goes After Sandoz Again Over Hectorol

Law360, New York (May 25, 2010, 1:41 PM EDT) -- Genzyme Corp. has lodged another complaint against Sandoz Inc., claiming the generic-drug manufacturer has infringed two patents related to Hectorol, an injectable drug used to treat complications stemming from kidney disease.

Genzyme lodged the suit Friday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, saying an abbreviated new drug application Sandoz recently submitted to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration infringes the patents-in-suit.
