Law360, New York (May 26, 2010, 5:30 PM ET) -- A Rhode Island judge has ruled that three companies that won a landmark case over liability for lead paint sales cannot recoup the costs of their defense in the litigation.
Judge Michael Silverstein of the Rhode Island Superior Court on Tuesday denied The Sherwin Williams Co., NL Industries Inc. and Millennium Holdings LLC's motion seeking an award of costs incurred during the litigation for their defense against the state's allegations.
