Motor Vehicle Safety Bill Gets House Panel's OK

Law360, New York (May 26, 2010, 6:04 PM EDT) -- A motor vehicle safety bill introduced in the wake of high-profile Toyota Motor Corp. recalls over unintended acceleration concerns got a green light Wednesday from the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.

The committee approved the bill in a 31-21 vote at a markup session, sending the legislation on to the full U.S. House of Representatives for consideration.
