PPC Loses Bid For Review In Cable Connector 337 Case

Law360, New York (May 27, 2010, 4:55 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has decided not to reconsider a previous ruling letting several Asian electronics companies off the hook for infringement claims related to a PPC Inc.-owned patent for coaxial cable connectors.

PPC’s petition for reconsideration neither raised new questions nor presented arguments the company could not have made earlier, the ITC ruled May 21.

The dispute centers on U.S. Patent Number 5,470,257, issued in 1995 and assigned to PPC, which covers radical compression type coaxial cable end connectors.
