Trend Micro Cuts Deal In IPAT Data Security Case

Law360, New York (May 28, 2010, 11:15 AM EDT) -- Antivirus software company Trend Micro Inc. has exited Information Protection and Authentication of Texas LLC's suit against nearly two dozen companies for allegedly infringing computer security software patents.

IPAT and Trend Micro filed a joint motion to dismiss their claims against each other with prejudice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Thursday, citing a confidential settlement deal.
