Transitions Optical Targeted In More Antitrust Suits

Law360, New York (June 2, 2010, 5:12 PM EDT) -- Class actions accusing Transitions Optical Inc. of illegally monopolizing the market for eyeglass lenses that darken in sunlight are continuing to pile up, with the Florida-based lens manufacturer now facing 16 suits filed in or removed to federal court.

The latest lawsuit was filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida by Optical Supply Inc., an Alabama-based company that bought photochromic lenses from Essilor of America Inc.
