Law360, New York (June 02, 2010, 2:13 PM ET) -- Canadian convenience store chain Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. launched a $1.9 billion hostile bid for Casey's General Stores Inc. on Wednesday, upping its pursuit of the convenience store chain after Casey's rejected an identical offer in April.
Couche-Tard is offering Casey's shareholders $36 per share, a 14 percent premium over Casey's closing stock price of $31.59 per share on April 8.
