Microsoft Hit With Suit Over Internet Ad Services

Law360, New York (June 3, 2010, 6:36 PM EDT) -- Interactive advertising company AlmondNet Inc. has accused Microsoft Corp. of infringing three patents through its method of offering search- and content-based advertising in connection with its Bing search engine and other affiliated websites.

New York-based AlmondNet Inc. claims in a complaint filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin that Microsoft's advertising services offered through its adCenter and other similar services infringe multiple claims of U.S. Patent Numbers 6,973,436; 7,072,853; and 7,454,364.
