ITC Staff Wants Samsung, Appro Flash IP Deal Limited

Law360, New York (June 4, 2010, 4:50 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission's staff has asked Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and Appro International Inc. to limit the scope of their proposed settlement in an infringement dispute over two of the Korean electronics giant's flash memory patents.

The ITC's investigative staff expressed concern Thursday that the proposed dismissal and consent order applied to the two patents-in-suit in general, rather than only to the asserted claims of the Samsung flash patents.
