Clinton-Era Kagan Docs Cover Abortion, Other Issues

Law360, New York (June 4, 2010, 5:48 PM EDT) -- The otherwise thin record of U.S. Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan began to fill out Friday with the release of thousands of documents from her time as a senior policy aide to President Bill Clinton, covering a wide swath of issues including tobacco industry regulation, abortion and campaign finance reform.

Friday's batch of 46,500 pages, contained in 72 boxes at the William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Museum, was less than one-third of the 160,000 pages of papers expected to stream out in the coming days....
