Debevoise Advises Altegrity On $1B Kroll Purchase

Law360, New York (June 07, 2010, 2:07 PM ET) -- Altegrity Inc., a provider of employment background checks, said Monday that it has agreed to buy private investigation firm Kroll Inc. from Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc. in an all-cash deal worth $1.13 billion.

The deal combines Kroll's investigative and risk consulting services with Altegrity's business as the largest commercial provider of background checks for the government, creating a company with 11,000 employees across 30 countries.
