Law360, New York (June 08, 2010, 3:18 PM ET) -- Three former drivers for Hazen Transport Inc. have launched a putative class action against the Michigan-based delivery company, seeking unpaid overtime and wages for their work delivering Office Depot Inc. products.
The complaint, filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York, claims that Hazen has violated both the Fair Labor Standards Act and New York state labor law by misclassifying its drivers as independent contractors.
