US Told To Pay SCE $142M Over Nuclear Waste Delays

Law360, New York (June 07, 2010, 11:49 AM ET) -- A federal judge has ordered the U.S. government to pay more than $142 million to Southern California Edison Co. for failing to meet contractual deadlines to dispose of spent nuclear fuel, the second-largest award in more than 70 suits against the U.S. Department of Energy over ongoing nuclear waste disposal delays.
