BP-Conoco Denali Pipeline Granted Open Season

Law360, New York (June 08, 2010, 5:42 PM ET) -- The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has signed off on a proposal by a joint venture owned by BP PLC and ConocoPhillips Co. to solicit customers for its planned natural gas pipeline through Alaska and Canada.

The joint venture, dubbed Denali — The Alaska Gas Pipeline LLC, secured approval from FERC on Monday, allowing the project to seek binding, multiyear, multibillion-dollar financial commitments from customers, according to Dave MacDowell, spokesman for the Denali project.
