RJ Reynolds Settles FLSA Class Actions

Law360, New York (June 9, 2010, 3:25 PM EDT) -- R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. has settled three consolidated Fair Labor Standards Act class actions filed by retail representatives accusing the cigarette maker of shorting them on pay for time spent driving.

According to an order signed Tuesday by Judge Richard E. Dorr in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, the remaining plaintiffs in a total class of 394 people are subject to the release of claims contained in a confidential settlement agreement.
