Fed. Circ. Won't Reinstate $5M ILight Patent Award

Law360, New York (June 9, 2010, 8:01 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has reaffirmed its April decision vacating a $5 million verdict awarded to iLight Technologies Inc. in its infringement suit against Fallon Luminous Products Corp. over three lighting patents.

The appeals court on Friday granted iLight's petition for rehearing “for the limited purpose of clarifying its April 20 decision” but rejected the company's bid to reverse the ruling, which vacated a lower court finding that Fallon had infringed the asserted patents.
