Samsung, Appro Narrow Settlement In ITC Memory Spat

Law360, New York (June 11, 2010, 1:50 PM EDT) -- Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and Appro International Inc. have agreed to pare down the scope of a proposed settlement in an infringement dispute over two of the South Korean electronics giant's flash memory patents in order to appease the U.S. International Trade Commission's staff.

In an amended stipulation filed Thursday, Samsung and Appro limited the settlement to the patent claims Samsung actually asserted in the case and to Appro products containing the accused chips.
