ITC Begins 337 Probe Into Suprema ID Scanners

Law360, New York (June 11, 2010, 6:53 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has opened an investigation into whether fingerprint and palm print scanners made by South Korean firm Suprema Inc. infringe four biometric scanning patents held by rival Cross Match Technologies Inc.

The ITC said Friday it had voted to institute a review under Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930.
