Sullivan & Cromwell Reps Cablevision In $1.3B Deal

Law360, New York (June 14, 2010, 2:52 PM EDT) -- New York-based Cablevision Systems Corp. is launching a westward expansion with its $1.37 billion plan to buy Bresnan Communications, which is majority-owned by private equity firm Providence Equity Partners.

Cablevision and Bresnan, which operates cable television systems in Colorado, Montana, Wyoming and Utah, announced the deal Monday. The deal should be completed in late 2010 or early 2011, Cablevision said.
