WTO Mostly Rules Against EU In Fight Over Tech Tariffs

Law360, New York (June 14, 2010, 7:33 PM EDT) -- The World Trade Organization has largely sided with the U.S., Japan and Taiwan in a dispute with the European Union over tariffs on cable boxes, computer monitors and other high-tech goods, a U.S. trade official said Monday.

“I can confirm that the panel agreed with the U.S., Japan and Taiwan on essentially all of our claims,” an official with the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative said. “We are still reviewing the interim report.”
