WaMu, FDIC Object To Renewed Call For Examiner

Law360, New York (June 15, 2010, 2:57 PM EDT) -- Numerous objections have poured in to a renewed request by Washington Mutual Inc. shareholders to appoint an examiner to delve into the 2008 seizure and sale of the collapsed bank's assets to JPMorgan Chase & Co.

One objection, which the debtor filed Monday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, said the only possible basis for the renewed request was WaMu's refusal to turn over its attorney work product before a June 3 hearing.
