Goldman Sachs To Pay $125M For Mesaba Claim

Law360, New York (January 30, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Mesaba Aviation Inc. has agreed to sell its $145 million claim against Northwest Airlines for about $125 million to Goldman Sachs Credit Partners LP.

Court papers filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District Court of Minnesota on Monday say that several qualified bidders participated in the telephone auction held Monday. Goldman Sachs offered a bit more than 86% of the value of the claim. Mesaba is now seeking court approval of the sale.
