FDA Looks Askance At Marlboro Light Marketing Tactics

Law360, New York (June 18, 2010, 11:06 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is asking Philip Morris USA Inc. to turn over documents related to its relabeling strategy for Marlboro Lights ahead of new laws prohibiting “light” and “mild” descriptors, saying the company is perpetuating the notion that certain of its cigarettes are less risky.
