Homeowners Awarded $2.4M In 1st Chinese Drywall Trial

Law360, New York (June 18, 2010, 6:39 PM EDT) -- A jury in Florida has awarded a couple more than $2.45 million in damages and expenses in the first trial in the U.S. regarding allegedly defective drywall from China.

Jurors in Miami returned the verdict Friday for Armin and Lisa Seifart in their suit against drywall seller Banner Supply Co., according to the couple's attorney, Ervin A. Gonzalez of Colson Hicks Eidson.
