Law360, New York (June 21, 2010, 1:47 PM ET) -- Casey’s General Stores Inc. has asked a judge to stop Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. from taking any further steps to complete its $1.9 billion hostile takeover bid, saying Couche-Tard is holding the Iowa-based convenience store chain hostage with a market manipulation scheme.
Casey’s asked a judge Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa for an injunction to keep Canada-based Couche-Tard from buying its shares or going forward with the sale.
