High Court Lifts Ban On Monsanto's Alfalfa Seed

Law360, New York (June 21, 2010, 10:51 AM ET) -- The U.S. Supreme Court has reversed a nationwide ban on planting Monsanto Inc.'s Roundup Ready alfalfa in a widely watched case that now heads back to the lower court.

The high court ruled 7-1 Monday to overturn a lower court's ban on planting the genetically engineered alfalfa seeds until the U.S. government could complete a review of whether the plants could harm the environment.
