EarthLink, Others Fight $37B Comcast-NBC Deal

Law360, New York (June 22, 2010, 11:13 AM EDT) -- Internet service provider EarthLink Inc. and a coalition of media outlets, advocates and unions have staked out their opposition to Comcast Corp.'s bid to buy a majority stake in NBC Universal Inc. from General Electric Co. to create a $37 billion joint venture, saying the deal could quash competition and innovation across media platforms.
