Armed With New Phone Patent, Frontier Sues Google

Law360, New York (June 23, 2010, 3:29 PM EDT) -- Frontier Communications Corp. has sued Google Inc. claiming the Web search leader is infringing its brand-new patent for enhanced computerized telephone services.

According to the Stamford, Conn.-based Frontier's complaint, lodged Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, Google is developing enhanced telephone services, including a product called Google Voice, that infringe U.S. Patent Number 7,742,468.

The patent was issued Tuesday, the same day Frontier's complaint was filed.
