IBM Tries To Block Former Exec's Move To Oracle

Law360, New York (June 24, 2010, 7:13 PM EDT) -- IBM Corp. is aiming to prevent former executive Joanne Olsen from accepting a senior position at competitor Oracle Corp., arguing that her hire would violate noncompete agreements and lead to the divulgence of trade secrets.

The technology giant filed suit June 16 in the Supreme Court of the State of New York for the County of Westchester, and a spokesman said Thursday that the company had secured a temporary restraining order until a hearing is held.
