4th Circ. Reverses Loss For EEOC In Md. Pension Suit

Law360, New York (June 28, 2010, 2:02 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has reversed a judgment against the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and asked a district court to determine whether Baltimore County's pension system violates the Age Discrimination in Employment Act.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit on Friday vacated a lower court's grant of summary judgment to the county in the EEOC's lawsuit accusing the municipality of forcing older workers to pay higher pension contributions than those of their younger counterparts.
