Law360, New York (June 29, 2010, 2:57 PM ET) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday said it would not reconsider a lower court's ruling allowing two groups of Nigerian families who claim Pfizer Inc. illegally used their children in a 1996 meningitis drug trial to proceed with their lawsuits in the United States.
The high court denied a certiorari petition by the pharmaceutical giant, which was seeking review of a January 2009 decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit greenlighting the litigation over Pfizer's experimental antibiotic Trovan.
